Let's make a ghetto pom pom necklace.
Do you want to make a ghetto pom pom necklace? Sure you do. Will it feels silly? Of course it will, it’s a ghetto pom pom necklace, but who cares! Here’s what you’ll need:
-Heavy twine
-Pom poms
-Wire
-Glue (industrial strength or hot glue gun)
-Findings (jump rings and clasp)
Cut three pieces of twine approximately twenty inches in length. Glue the ends together for extra reinforcement.
Wrap your wire around the ends. If the wire is thin enough, you can use your hands, if not, use tools! Make sure to leave enough space between one of the wire wraps to loop through your findings. There’s no accurate length of wire you need to wrap, just enough so that you can attach your findings securely. If your wire is thin enough you can probably use regular scissors to cut it, if not, use tools!
Next, glue your pom poms onto your strings. I like to spread mine out a bit sporadically, but you can arrange yours as you please, and you can also use as many pom poms as you’d like (I used nine). Let the glue congeal/cool.
Finally, in the space you left in the wires, loop through a jump ring on one end, and your clasp on the other. And your ghetto pom pom necklace is done! Ah, so ghetto. So pom pom-y.
